Aah, where to start? So last year the day before Christmas, 'Christmas Eve.' My 18 & 1/2-year-old, African American, college student son, who, by the way, had never been in trouble, made a huge mistake! I flew him home to Seattle for the first time since he left for college in the summer. I wanted him to be home from Thanksgiving to just after the New Year. You know, for the holidays! Well, on Christmas Eve he was arrested for an alleged crime involving a handgun. As a father, this crushed me 100%. I knew my son. He was a good kid! Not a perfect kid, but generally a good kid. This was an isolated and perfectly fueled incident. With my son now facing this potentially life-changing event, depending on the final outcome, I decided to put my trust as a parent and my son's bright future into Albert Guadagno. I hired him at what I thought was a reasonable and fair price, especially given the severity of the situation. BEST decision I could have made!! Here is why: 1st - He was genuinely compassionate and empathetic with my son's emotional status at the time of the incident and the entire situation. 2nd - He was proactive and creative with his case strategy. 3rd - He was relentless and aggressive in the negotiations with the prosecutor. 4th - He was successful in the end with the defense of my son. My son went from being charged with two felonies and potential prison or jail time to pleading to 2 misdemeanors. No jail time and no supervised probation was imposed at sentencing. If I hadn't told all my kids from a young age, 'you get 1 bailout from me in your lifetime when it comes to criminal cases,' I would definitely hire Albert again! My son got his 1 bailout from me! We were having civil legal troubles. We suspected that we may be set up for a criminal issue and reached out to Albert. It was very early in the morning when I called the number listed on his website. I expected to leave a message because of the time, but Albert answered and we spoke at length. We were having a lot of anxiety over our situation and the lawyer representing us was highly ineffective and adding to our anxiety. Albert was a beacon of hope and sanity for us and unless he was in court, he was always available to talk. We ended up not needing further legal assistance from him, but would not hesitate to call on him if we had. We have since wrapped up the civil issue. Albert bridged the gap in legal advice for our issue when our lawyer for the civil issue dumped us in the middle of the case. We ended up not needing a criminal lawyer, but Albert gave us a sense of protection, sanity, and hope in a time that was very dark and dismal for us.

Give him a call! Alberto is a true blessing. While roaming the internet, I went through many websites and faces that could have potentially helped me due to the pickle that I was in. Alberto’s website stood out to me. I don’t know if it was the blue background that was so unique compared to all the black and grey websites I had seen, or the fact that he looked friendly in his photo and his bio was easily accessible. As a Spanish speaker, it was reassuring to see the Spanish portions of the website and the reviews. I decided to give him a call past midnight. I was shocked that he answered. I’ve done a lot of questionable things at midnight, but this was the best thing I could have done. I asked a lot of questions and got direct answers. During the call, I was able to be my authentic self and be vulnerable enough about my family situation that required legal consult. He is open to any questions and explains legal proceedings in a way that anyone can understand. Not knowing what will happen is scary. Alberto does a great job of easing anxieties and not being judgmental of one’s situation. He is personable and humorous. He can really alleviate the stress that comes with trial. He was able to present my family member for one of his hearings. He continues to keep us informed and in the loop of what is going on in court. Lastly, he truly cares for the work that he is doing. He is able to foster genuine connections with his clients. He is honest and compassionate. He knows that the legal system can be damaging and traumatic to his clients, especially to BIPOC clients. I promised my wife, my son's mother, to help my son with this terrible situation he found himself in. We all live in the SF Bay Area. The event happened in Seattle. We originally thought we could handle all the legal work ourselves, but we quickly realized that would be impossible, and we didn’t know any attorneys in Seattle. Catharsis. A true blessing, I am literally entering the new year knowing for a fact that my new year will be even better than I thought with Albert's expertise, dedication, and true loyalty to his clients and craft. After this post, I am able to tell my remaining family when I will be home. One of the reasons my case lasted as long as it did was because although this was my first and only offense, I was arrested, handled, and released as a two-time offender with a history of violence. It took months to get it remedied. I was living a nightmare already, not including the arrest, but also living the panic of facing prison time for your first offense, minimum. I have never been in trouble and trusted that my identity would certainly be known right away. I suffer from PTSD; I am and have been disabled for some time. Albert not only took this seriously, he was the first person in the entire legal process of the situation to acknowledge it, as it is pretty key to helping your client with precision. The moment I called, my situation improved. He will walk you through every scenario possible, and he will listen! He will work with you until you're confident about your decisions. Sentencing and probation were concerns of mine early on because I need to return home in another state. I have lost a tremendous amount of my family during COVID—one person per month from April 2020 to September 2020. Albert has made this very clear to all parties involved. When someone or somehow the message was lost, it is immediately resolved. When you call Albert, you will breathe easier and feel redeemable for sure. Albert was able to bring my case to a Neg-1. I had been living in my car for three days after running from an assault. The same person compromised my finances, and I was in my car instead of my room. No gas for three days. I was hoping to maybe get a bit of a charge on my phone. It was still physical control. This case started in October 2020. I wish I had been in a position to hire him sooner. I have been blessed by a loyal community that has made it possible. UPDATE* I recently found out I have a total of 11 family members with COVID. Only one person in the hospital. He has been on a ventilator for a few weeks now.
